Fundraising for Activate Capital.

Capnua co-founded and led the €500m fundraising to establish Activate Capital. Capnua identified a market opportunity in the residential development finance market and initiated the process of establishing Activate Capital to meet this opportunity.

Activate Capital was founded in 2015 to address the shortage of debt capital for property development in Ireland having secured investment from leading global investment firm KKR and the Irish Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF). Activate Capital has advanced loans of approx. €2 billion across 75 sites with the capacity to deliver over 18,250 homes.

KKR is a global investment firm that invests across private markets in every asset class around the world. It has a market capitalisation of over $120 billion and total assets under management of $650 billion.
